They both have been pioneering in their own respective fields. Peter Hong has planted his church some six years ago and its congregation and influence has been astonishing. Their truly multicultural church has become one and really made possible the whole idea of unity. Brian Kim, the Lead Pastor at NewSong church in LA, has planted his own branch in North Orange County. His church growth not only exemplifies the hand of God but that his passion and compassion were really needed in that area of town. We are so delighted to have such men of God come to our conference this year and share the stories of God.

Graduated from Trinity with master of divinity and master of theology.

Currently leads new community covenant church in Chicago, a multiracial urban church.

Peter is married to Jenny and have two children, Parker(3) and Sophie(1).







Brian Kim

As one of the chief cultural architects and pastors at Newsong for nearly 11 years, Brian has had pioneered and led several key ministries at Newsong. Brian began as the Creative Arts Pastor-leading worship every week, overseeing missions, launching college ministries, and now church planting. Brian currently serves as Lead Pastor of Newsong North Orange County in Fullerton, CA a multi-site of Newsong. He is also a part of the Vision Team which provides strategic leadership to the Third Culture Alliance of Churches that spawns and launches Newsong multi-sites around the world in places like London, Bangkok, Bangalore, Beijing, and Mexico City.

Most importantly, while leading worship for a Newsong Retreat, Brian met Carolyn; a beautiful, singing, dancing, Laker lovin’, ESPN watching (yeah I know, it’s a tough life), high school teacher. After a wild romance of God-things and God-moments, she decided to allow Brian the privilege of being her permanent roommate. They have been married for a little over 9 years and have 2 beautiful kids who, undoubtedly will continue their legacy of Laker Lovin’. Nathaniel Isaiah is 5 and is already being touted as the first Chorean in the NBA while Emily Grace is 3 and has an early start looking for cash and credit cards in her daddy’s wallet.

STARFIELD
Starfield is a household name in North America. Starfield is a Canadian Christian music group from Winnipeg, Manitoba. The group had songs and albums that charted in Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. They have won multiple Covenant Awards in Canada. Starfield's first international release was the self-titled album Starfield on Sparrow Records in 2004. The album contained a re-recording of "Filled With Your Glory". The song "Tumbling After" appeared on season two of the television show Joan of Arcadia. Their second album, Beauty in the Broken, was released on Sparrow Records on May 16, 2006. Their first single from the album, My Generation, rose the United States R&R Christian charts. The album includes one song recorded with Chris Tomlin ("Son of God"). The album immediately soared to the top of the Canadian Christian music sales chart and remained at the #1 position for three months. 2006 Year End charts placed the album at #2 for the year in Canada at Christian retail stores. The album peaked at #31 in the United States on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart, and at #45 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart.
